Choice 1: SCIENCE TECH. AND THE WORLD

This module introduces students to developments in science and technology which will impact their lives over the next few decades. Through this overview, students will better understand the business opportunities that these technologies offer, as well as the need to continually keep pace with changing technology. Topics covered will include nanotechnology, genetic engineering, tissue engineering, fuel cell technology, artificial intelligence, water purification technologies and waste water management. <-Sounds interesting.

Choice 2: EXPLORING PHOTOGRAPHY

This is a hands-on module that teaches participants basic photography skills and how to put those skills to use in taking digital photographs. Participants will be provided with background information on the various genres of modern photography and its uses. Participants will also be taught technical and aesthetic basics of the medium including camera functions, composition, optical properties, lighting and the decisive moments. Participants will be required to plan and shoot various types of photographs and to critique their own as well as other student work. Students enrolling in this module are strictly required to come to class with a digital camera of their own. <-This one seems good. :P
