well, if you are not updated, im currently on mc. it's my longest stretch of mc since i've enlisted.
what happened?

let me recall ok.
on sunday, my gf and i visited zouk flea (it was a good one, each of us grab 2 items at $5 respectively.)
prior to the flea, we ate at zion road food centre. i ate the famous fried kway tiao with cockles.
ok, im sure most of u are able to conjecture the problem.

on that very sunday evening. i had fever. was contemplating to book in and did so anyway after the fever was subdued by panadol. early wee hours of monday, i was up and tossing around. temperature of 38.8. reported sick but upon reaching medical centre, temperature dropped and was told to rest and monitor my situation. reported sick on monday morning. doctor gave me 1 day att c.

i was really feeling really terrible. the stomach was churning, i had alot of bad gas within me, feverish and feelin v.weak. went to consult my gp later in the day and was given 3 days mc till wed. she said it was bacteria intoxication from the raw cockles. my fever on monday evening went up to 39.5.

so i rested at home, like a proper sick man...

until last night when it was time to book in, but obviously my stomach was still churning, slight fever, bad headache and feeling weak.

so, mum brought me to ttsh a&e. 1hr+ after registering, i was on drip and my blood was drawn. my 1st time staying in the observation ward. not a fun experience. extremely cold and the needles poking experience wasn't fun. after some blood test n all, im fine, just need some more time to ask the bacteria in me to kindly take their leave.

so doctor gave me mc till friday and im currently at home, resting... this is sooo sad. im gonna avoid cockles from now on. will still eat oysters but cockles... YUCK!
