Weekends, 4-5 Feb:
Work. tiring. Colleagues were alright. no nasty customers. met couple of friends. sometimes i asked myself "why should i work?" some work to save up for holiday trips, some work to cover additional expenses, some work for living but none work for fun. Therefore, working is never fun. it can be fulfilling but it's never fun... at least for me. yes i do learn more things. the experience that i've gained these 4 years selling a particular brand has brought me closer to technology. the art of technology, Macintosh"es", Apple Inc.
Work has brought me closer to reality, to what adults so called "Life". I've been lead to believe that working was initially enticing (because of the $$$). I was tainted by the "cruel real Life". Nothing was simple anymore. Each instructions or decisions must be made with careful considerations. Sometimes the consequences might be dire when your upper management is displeased or worse, the displeasure of a customer can really drive you up up up the wall.
Then, i figured a way... because i sometimes got so lost in handling those insane customers... i turned to philosophy and psychology readings during my holidays. its helpings. Customers solved, but i found myself lost or not understanding the in depths of a business running's, which is essential if you dont want to stay on the sales floor your entire life. Education was the key, BIT provided me with some answers in the HRM, Accounting, Operations, Marketing aspect of a business, which i was able to related directly on weekends.
There are some sacrifices made pertaining to my decision to work. Watching groups of friends and couples enjoying their respective company sometimes saddens me because i'll only be reminded of the time lost with them. In other words, my opportunity cost would be time with my fam, gf and friends.
It has been hard on my family, vnsa, roy, ac + kids, atsb pals & other friends for sharing me with all my commitments. Thank you all for your generous understanding. :)
Hopefully, this path & decision that I have choosen will someday be beneficial to my career.
