Happy New Year 2007!
I spent the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007 with my girlfriend on Benjamin Sheares Bridge, longest bridge in Singapore at 20m high, watching fireworks igniting right before us.
Splendid!
6pm: We dined at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Marina Square. We ordered the French Toast, HK Iced Milk Tea, Pork Chop Cheese Baked Spaghetti and the popular Mango Snow Ice with Condensed Milk. We were satisfied with the food.
French Toast was buttery and sweetly nice. Pork Chop Cheese Baked Spaghetti was so-so. I prefer my mum's one. It was the average micro waved product that all restaurants serve. HK Ice Milk Tea was nice. Different from the Teh Ping at local coffee shops and Ice Teh Terik at Prata shops.
Mango Snow Ice with Condensed Milk was shiok! Sweet, fresh and smooth. I will definitely go back there again.
7pm: We shopped at Giant to stock up on some tidbits and food items.
8pm: Made our way to Benjamin Sheares Bridge and found a sweet spot. "Chop" with my tripod and stuff.

Here's the view from where we were. :)9pm: We chatted for an hour now. SMU and stuff... :) assuring my baby. I went down the bridge to take a leak at Millennia Walk.
9.30pm: She need to answer to nature's call as well, so she went down alone.
10pm: 1st sightings of fireworks. Short-lived.

10-11pm: Slight drizzling. We hid under my poncho, it was cool!
11pm: Another round of fireworks preview display off the rooftop of NTUC & One Raffles Quay building.
The massive crowd by Esplanade Bay.
Bum boats were on the river with tourist, readying for the show.11:30pm: Unexpected light show and fireworks display off Marina IR field.

11:55pm: Lights were out, fireworks were on a random and it all went off, one after another, spontaneously.

Finale! Big rush of Golden Shower! End of show00:08pm: It ended with a Big Burst of Golden Shower.
The bridge was crowded with people, traffic police were on the road, controlling traffic flow. We slowly made our way down to land. Took a slow walk to Raffles Place MT station.
Soaked in the crowds along Esplanade Bay. Raffles Place MRT was not that crowded, thus we managed to get a seat on the train bound to Marina for a short detour.
Walked her all the way home, rested and replenish my energy by her poolside as she soaks in my company. :)
Sent her home at 2.30am and took a cab home.
2006 was another year for me. It went pretty well. 5 months of it was spent on IAP at SAP Singapore. Another 2 months at SAP Singapore as temp staff. 5 Months of school. Family is doing well. Friends are still there. I'm doing quite fine in every aspect. A BIG Thank You to everyone who was there for me. God Bless to all!
It was a wonderful New Year Eve. Everything turned out right and smooth. It was splendid! I really appreciate my girlfriend and all that she has done for me. I love you indefinitely baby!
